New Company: Wasatch Finance and Credit
2006-10-18
As part of the continuing aggressive growth strategy of the Wasatch
group of companies, manager/owner Dell Loy Hansen recently created
Wasatch Finance and Credit.
This Salt Lake City-based company will manage the existing financing of
Wasatch entities, as well as acquire new construction, interim and
permanent financing for the residential, commercial and venture
companies of Wasatch.
President Dale Christiansen said WFC will also actively pursue financing
opportunities – joint venture or credit support for good projects – with
new investment partners.
“We’re going to be supporting our own developments, as well as looking
outside Wasatch to do mezzanine and preferred equity lending for third
parties,” Dale said.
Formerly a senior vice president/office manager at the Salt Lake City
Wells Fargo Bank, Dale has over 20 years experience in banking and real
estate finance throughout the nation. Dale has a bachelor’s degree in
finance from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business
from Arizona State University.
Dale said he is excited about the opportunity at the helm of WFC to
develop new partnerships with visionary business people in Utah and
throughout the western United States.
“The company has grown to the point that they needed this type of role
within Wasatch,” he said. “The opportunity to grow the business into new
areas is one of the compelling things that attracted me.”
Dale and his wife Jana live in Holladay, Utah. They are the parents of
four children. In his spare time, Dale enjoys water and snow skiing, but
not alpine sledding. Nearly one year ago, Dale suffered severe injuries
including a broken back when his ride turned a little too wet and wild.
Wasatch Finance and Credit is headquartered in the Wells Fargo Center in
downtown Salt Lake City at 299 South Main, Suite 2400.
